Easy Installation: 1. Turn off the water supply and press the red pressure-relief button (if present). 2. Unscrew the housing, remove the large o-ring, wipe it clean, and set it aside. 3. Discard the used filter cartridge, wash the housing with dish soap and warm water using a non-abrasive sponge or cloth, and rinse thoroughly. 4. Fill the housing one-third with water, add about 1 tablespoon of bleach, and scrub to disinfect, then rinse thoroughly. 5. Lubricate the o-ring with clean silicone grease and check for any damage or degradation, replacing it if necessary. Ensure the o-ring is seated level in the groove. 6. Insert the new filter cartridge. 7. Screw the housing onto the cap and hand-tighten, making sure the cap standpipe slips into the cartridge. 8. Turn on the water supply, press the pressure-relief button (if present), and check for leaks before leaving the installation.
